Current Class Offering

Ori Tahiti

Our classes focus on the fundamentals of “ori Tahiti (Tahitian Dance), the foundation of the movements, language, and the inspiration behind the steps. Tahitian dance is narrative in nature and the sequences we teach are embedded with meaning. Grounded stability and powerful hip movement with simultaneously graceful hand motions are part of this athletic and aesthetic style.

Siva Samoa

This class explores different dances from the islands of Samoa. Movements from these dances range from sustained graceful energy to explosive, fast paced spurts of athleticism. Participants will learn commonly used terminology in Samoan for the dances, movements, and lyrics. Students will also have the option of participating in a performance of their class dances at the annual Tatou Festival.

Hula

Rooted in Hawaii and the teachings of our kupuna, our Hula classes refine your foundation with athleticism, agility, and fluidity filled movement. Classes focus on ones connection with their breath, nature, and ancestry while improving and developing proper technique and performance of the inspired movement.
